How to clean the microwave?

How to clean the microwave?
One of the most practical appliances that we use on a daily basis is without a doubt the microwave. But it is also one of the dirtiest. Therefore, we give you 5 homemade tips to clean it and make it look new again.

Clean the microwave with water and lemon

  • Put a cut lemon in a container with about 250 ml of water and put it in the microwave.
  • Turn on at maximum power for about 5 minutes until the interior is misted with the steam generated. When the microwave glass is wet or the lemon scent emerges, it's ready. Open the door being careful not to burn yourself and remove the container with a glove.
  • The steam will have softened the dirt and descaled the oven. Then, run a cloth inside. Thanks to lemon, the microwave is naturally flavored and fresh.

 Disinfect the microwave with vinegar

Vinegar is a natural disinfectant that helps sanitize our microwave. It is true that it does not leave a pleasant scent like lemon but the smell will disappear in a few hours.

Pour a spoon of white wine vinegar into a glass container with about 250 ml of water and put it in the microwave. Program at maximum power for approximately 3-5 minutes. Open and carefully remove the bowl.

Wash the dish in the microwave

Although it seems obvious, we forget that the microwave dish needs to be washed every now and then. Just placing it in the dishwasher as another dish, it will prevent dirt and germs from building up.

Clean the microwave with dishwasher soap

For this trick, heat a tablespoon of dishwasher soap for 1 minute in a bowl of lukewarm water. Open the door and remove the container carefully so as not to burn yourself.
With this soapy water and a clean sponge clean the inside of the microwave.

Clean the microwave with baking soda

All we need is a damp sponge to sprinkle some baking soda on. It is gently cleaned on the outside and inside and for a total cleaning, it is enough to rinse it well with water.
